The study analyses the wholesale sector in fisheries and aquaculture products (FAPs) in the EU, with a focus on a selection of Member States.

This study offers an overview of the wholesale sector in the fisheries and aquaculture value chains within the European Union. It describes the sector and its activities, outline the types of companies involved across different Member States, examine the role of wholesale markets, and identify available information sources related to the wholesale stage. The report is based on desk research, including national studies and statistical data, as well as interviews primarily conducted with wholesalers in Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Spain, and the Netherlands.
