EU-funded project advances microalgae for feed, food and packaging

MULTIPLY, an EU-funded initiative launched in June 2025, unites 17 partners to develop 10 microalgae-based alternatives aimed at reducing dependence on fossil and food-based resources across five industrial sectors. The project focuses on creating solutions that include natural food colors, salmon feed components, personal-care oils, high-performance lubricants, and compostable packaging made from microalgae.
