EUMOFA Talk at European Maritime Day 2026 - Aquaculture’s Market Potential in the EU: Ensuring Food Security and Trade Balance in a Sustainable Blue Economy


Join us for the upcoming EUMOFA Talk, “Aquaculture’s Market Potential in the EU: Ensuring Food Security & Trade Balance in a Sustainable Blue Economy,” on 21 May 2026 from 14:15 to 15:30 CET at the European Maritime Day in Limassol, Cyprus.

The workshop aims to examine the role of aquaculture in strengthening EU food security within the framework of the Ocean Pact and related policies, while also exploring the market potential of aquaculture products across the European Union. It seeks to assess key opportunities and barriers affecting the sector, including trade balance considerations, shifting consumer demand, regulatory conditions, and supply chain challenges. Furthermore, it will consider how EUMOFA’s market intelligence can be leveraged by stakeholders such as producers, processors, retailers, and policymakers to support informed decision-making and enhance the sector’s overall resilience and competitiveness.
